A quick qestion for those of you that have done this recently..
I'm a bit lazy, but I figured it might save me some time just to ask.:o

I got my notice of renewal in the mail a while back. It says I need to take the notice, a color photo, and a completed CCDW license renewal affidavit (KSP 125) to the sheriff's office. Where do I get this KSP 125? I hope I can just download it?

Thanks.

I didn't take anything but the notice to the sheriff's office. They did the rest right there.

So I take it the sheriff will notarize this for you?

I just want to make sure I have it all lined out, because it's a royal pain for me go down there and deal with parking and all that. I don't want to do it twice.:)

The sheriff's office here does everything, right down to the photograph if you want.

Don't want to mess with finding a Notary downtown....Go to your bank and get it done free...Most banks have more than one Notary and usually do it for free for their clients.... At least mine does.....

This thread reinforces why I like small towns. The guys in the big cities have to think about the parking, notary, time, ect. Guys in a small town just pull up, run in and it's done. I don't always think about that stuff, makes you appreciate what you have. My Sheriffs' office did everything for me.

I had to renew mine in March... same county as quacker & hat. I went to the Kentucky State Police website.... concealed deadly weapons section. It gives all the info...including a link to download KSP 125. I filled it out and we had a notary at work. Even had my pic included with everything. When I got to the Sheriffs office.... could have gotten everything there as well. Some might not be that way though... I'd take it with me .. just in case.

heres the link....

Hey Art: I don't know about Lexington...but I called my sheriff's office and asked them. I got nervous too when I noticed they didn't want your photograph printed at home and I had already....so I called...they took care of everything there--didn't even need a photograph.
