Hey I got this in an email today. Though all would enjoy it.

There is a huge rock near a gravel pit on Hwy.25 in rural Iowa .
For generations, kids have painted slogans, names, and obscenities on this rock, changing its character many times.

A few months back, the rock received its latest paint job, and since then it has been left completely undisturbed.

It's quite an impressive sight..

Be sure to scroll down and check out the multiple photos (all angles) of the rock.

I thought th e flag was draped over the rock, but it's not. It's actually painted on the rock too.
Here's the artist

Ray "Bubba" Sorensen.

The 3-d effect of that flag is pretty cool! I'm betting it won't be long before the graffiti returns, tho.

What a work of art. It should be put somewhere so it can be protected. Very nice.....

The people who do that ought to be deported. Maybe they prefer the heart of Iraq or someplace like that.

I wonder if it still looks like that today, actually.

I got that email quite a long time ago.

A couple of weeks ago when Auk and I were going up to Eastern Kentucky, some where along 80, maybe near Floyd County, there was a similar painting on a rock there. It was really nice. Hopefully the graffiti stays off of it as well.
