Hey Clint,

It's really a matter of preference. I started with an old 20 gauge Stevens shotgun that worked just fine. It's easier to hunt them with a shotgun, especially when the leaves are on the trees.

Now I find shooting them with a .22 rifle is alot more challenging and enjoyable, and its good practice for other types of rifle hunting.

When does spring season come and go? And when does the fall season come in? I know I can look in the book but this is more fun.

ez,

Sounds like a very exciting day with all those kids out hunting squirrels. I could only imagine what happened. I took my (1) son with me yesterday morning. It was very windy where we were and we only seen one, but didn't get him. Spent most of the morning looking for sheds and rubs, scouting really. The only thing my son brought back home with him was a bad case of chigger bites. He swears he hates squirrel hunting, but he can't wait til youth weekend 4 deer.

Beautiful gun and expensive. Awesome squirrel gun. Ive been out 8 times this year and have 16 so far. Hows everyone else doing? I'm from florence, ky. and 21. Name is Jason Land. Nice to meet you all. Jason

Jason, I, too, am in Florence, but am rather new to the area. I was out twice last week and didn't even see a squirrel. Unless ground squirrels count [:)] I was at Loyd WMA. Any suggestions of other locations. you can email me privately if you like. dogmusher@pastors.com

Happy Trails,

I've got a ruger 10/22 with fixed 4x scope on it. I've made 4 trips after mr. bushytail & bagged 21. (those darn grays just won't hold still for a good head shot)
