Disturbing.

I had 6 hens behind my house the other day and one of them was a bearded hen, I will keep an eye out for her this fall. But anyway the disturbing part is that there was not one poult with any of them they were feeding in the field right behind my house for an hour and never one young with them.

Barren hens sometimes hang with each other, away from hens with poults!

went out this evening and saw two hens with 9 poults between them. then saw two more without. I don't think I have seen as many poults this year as normal
