Summer Vacation?

Any of you guys going anywhere this summer for a vacation? I am going to Panama City Beach in 3 weeks for the big family vacation. We do this vacation every year. Same Aunts, Uncles, and cousins, same destination, same condo. It has become a big tradition in our family. It should be a great week of relaxation, shark fishing, and setting in the sun. Hopefully we will come back with lots of grouper and snapper from our deep sea charter too:)

Hate traveling in the summer. Wife and I have a cabin rented in Yellowstone for a week starting 3 Sept (next to Mammoth Hot Springs) then go spend five days in Jackson Hole at the Wort Hotel (and a day of float fishing the Snake). It'll be our big vacation for the year.

Have a great time, I was just trying to talk the wife into a weekend trip down PCB way a couple days ago. She was eyeing the packages of shrimp at the store and I told here we could be at a all you can eat fresh shrimp place in about 10 hours and I might even toss in a trip to Angelo's in the process.

bowhunter, you sound just like us only we do myrtle beach. our guys golf, the girls beach it with the kids. we tried deep sea fishing last year and hubby got sick, lol! he had no clue that would happen:( meanwhile i'm chasing my 12 yr. old around the boat with 3-5 ft. swells. (not big, i know, but i now i know why sailors walk funny, lol) we caught black bass, hubby caught a baggie:(

just got back from daytona beach,just me the wife and kids.i only get 1 week vacation right now so we try to do a family thing while the kids are out of school.but next year i move t two weeks,look out deer season.:D

Well as far as vacation goes this year. The wife's starts this Sat. I'm going to go camping by myself and fish. The boys don't want to go and the wife don't go until it's cool. But going to go to Holiday World for a couple of days and then to mammoth Cave...The wife wants to see the Cave.

My wife & her mother are going to Naples Florida in a few weeks, her family has a condo there. She loves the beach, but I was born down there so it's no big deal to me. We usually take a beach weekend together about once a year. Our big trip this year will be to Savannah Georgia in late August. It's a really cool old town with tons of history and great restaurants!
I consider my trips to kentucky 'mini-vacations'. We are planning on being in Morgantown for the Catfish festival during July 4th. My sister from Birmingham, a cousin from Winchester, and a few other family members are going to meet us there as well.

Just got back from a week at Dale Hollow I must say it was one if not the most relaxing vacations I have ever had. I did make it a point to run the wave runner around a few bass boats just to see what it felt like. Its really over rated experience with the whole lake out there its better to just go out in the middle away from everyone else:D

Just got back from Camp Narrows Lodge on Rainy Lake, Ontario. Caught several smallies over 5#'s. Also, caught walleye, perch, crappie, catfish, goggle-eye and last but not least northern pike. Good trip. :)

I'm just glad you didn't find us with that waver unner last year when we were down at cumberland fishing:D
