My son is on a 7 and 8 year old all star team and have ran into some stiff competition already. We are 0 and 3. Some of the kids are not used to getting beat and are having a tough time adjusting to the level of talent we are facing.

Anyone involved in little league all stars? If anyone is wanting some games in the 7 and 8 year old age, we are looking for some games in the Ashland to Maysville area.

Sorry that I can't help you with any additional games but, to quote a former President, I feel your pain. My Grand Daughter is on a 11/12 year old all star softball team. I have been to a couple of practices and am a little concerned about the tournament this weekend. Ashland American on Friday and Russell/Flatwoods on Sunday. It may not be pretty.:(

A winning all star season can be a great experience for a child. A losing all star season is always a bad thing for everyone involved, very bad.

I'm a veteran of 6 all star baseball seasons. Finally I wised up with my third child, the best athlete of the three. Our summers are infinitely better now that we abandoned the all star trail. He gets invited, but we politely say no.

The sister in laws son plays in a league out of Nicholasville. They travel extensively EVERY weekend. If they are winning, they end up playing 4-5 games in a 2 day period. It's nothing like little league was when I was a kid. We played 1-2 nights each week and IF we were good enough, we got picked to play in the all-stars. That ended up being a half dozen games, some of which were out of town. My, my, how things have changed.

You may want to check into the league that plays at the new complex in Nicholasville. They have 5-6 fields and all age groups playing dang near every weekend.

Good luck
