Kimbo wanted that fight bad. I waited a long time to see Kimbo fight in a pro setting, and I was very surprised by the result. I didn't give Kimbo much credit, but Mercer is getting past his prime, and Kimbo came out with guns blazing, which I think Mercer was not ready for. I am ready to see who he will fight next. I have been watching Kimbo for a while now, and I only saw him loose 1 backyard fight, but that is a whole different ballgame.

Yeah, the guys name was Sean Gannon. Gannon didn't "destroy" Kimbo by any means, but he put him in his place and Kimbo didn't want any more of that fight. Kimbo is a very scary man, and uses his shear bulk behind all his punches.

He took some shots in that fight against Gannon (a former Boston cop) that were UNREAL.

Before his MMA career, his main income was as a bodyguard for the imerging south Florida porn industry.

Slice made his sanctioned MMA debut against former world champion boxer Ray Mercer (6'1, 241.9 lb) at Cage Fury Fighting Championships 5, in Atlantic City, New Jersey on June 23, 2007. A video of Slice signing for the fight can be seen on the Cage Fury Fighting Championships official website. Kimbo is currently training with MMA legend Bas Rutten. Slice talked about his upcoming debut in an interview with [1] touchgloves.com. The match was a three-round exhibition utilizing all professional rules of mixed martial arts combat. In this fight he beat Mercer using a guillotine choke.[4] Kimbo stated in his pre-fight interview with CFFC that he is done with backyard bare-knuckle boxing.

Shortly after his MMA debut victory Kimbo agreed to fight CFFC legend, Tank Abbott on September 14, 2007 at CFFC 6.

Slice will be featured on The Iron Ring, a new television series airing on BET which features mixed martial arts prospects. Slice will be a part of the selection process for the participants.

Kimbo fought some poor guy in a backyard fight one time, and by the time Kimbo was done with the guy, his eye looked like a bloody roast-beef sandwich. He is a powerful puncher.

That Gannon is a beast too, but his fight with Kimbo is the only one I have ever seen. Are there others?

Finally someone that agrees with me. I have never been impressed by Kimbo Slice. Most of the people he fights are intimidated by him before they ever start fighting. So, they are fighting NOT to lose instead of fighting to win. He hits hard, I'll give him that. Gannon took some shots when they fought, but I thought Gannon ate him up. He made him quit. Kimbo wouldn't/couldn't fight anymore.

Gannon won, hands down, Kimbo's people even stopped it a few times to give slice every chance they could, most people who fight him are paid to do so anyway, its not like they want to. I wish he would fight someone like rampage jackson, that would be nice to watch!

It would be fun, because I don't like Kimbo. But, it would be rediculous. Rampage would knock him out in a matter of seconds. He isn't very talented, at all.

Kimbo vs Tank abbot....hmm....thats a good match for Kimbo because Tank doesnt have much stanima. He has two jackhammers that would knock anyone out...Did anyone see Tank benchpressing on you tube:eek:. Kimbo will get punished in the UFC unless he does some serious training....

He just throws a ton of punches and lands a few here and there. His fight with gannon was bs...the first time they locked up and gannon had him in a headlock his guy in the trench coat tried to break them apart but then when kimbo had him down on the ground the trench coat guy blocked everybody else from breaking that up!! Plus like somebody said, everybody is intimidated by kimbo...just some backyard brawls...bring out the real fighters and kimbo will take a canvas nap. Oh and Xi...kimbo fights are all over youtube just type in kimbo.

I actually haven't seen knockout power from him and I think the only fight that I havent seen is the one that is in this thread. He hits hard no doubt, and I have seen him cut quite a few people. But never knock anyone out or even down that I remember.

I agree...the guys he has fought were not all athletic as well. A couple of the guys were 30 second bombers. You seen what happened when he fought the police officer....out of breath. I will say that he is aware of his limitations and is now training with Bas Rutten. He still has that thuggish ruggish bone attitude that will get him thumped. These guys have trained for years and a few weeks with Bas will only provide a sense of pseudo control over opponents. He does look like he is a quick learner and has the athletic ability. He does have what some dont...he is just flat out mean and he can take one on the chin. I say Fedor and Kimbo....LOL....
