Congratulations!!! Here's wishing you two a lifetime of happiness together. :)
Thanks for the kind words, guys. I'll be honest, it's something I should have done a LONG time ago but I just didn't do it for some reason(s). I think part of the reason was that I have a hard time spending that much money on someone else, although I will make it back in tax savings.:D I think to be honest, I just didn't feel like I was in a position in my life to get married until recently. I have always felt that marriage is something I would worry about when all my other life issues have been resolved. We both have good jobs now and I think we are finally both at the point where we are actually ready to get hitched.
We've dated for over 8 years and have lived together for the last 7 years so I don't think there's anything we have to worry about, we've practically been married for a long time.
Quaker, sorry to disappoint but you blackmail will not work this time.:D I think everyone here knows me well enough to know that if I feel strongly about something I will say it to anyone (I swear to God I will , man) << Donnie Baker:D. I have no problem at all being tough on her if it's for her own benefit and she understands this as well. I would hope that she has the heart to be just as tough on me when I need it.
BTW- I have not told ANYONE yet, so if you guys happen to run into someone that knows me, like my mother, please keep this to yourself. I just figured that if I posted it on the internet, nobody would find out. Seems pretty safe!:D We've got 4 weeks until they complete the ring so I have to keep this on the DL for a while.

Don't I remember you saying something about our favorite female bowhunter being "just a kid and a box of little Debbies away from being ----".:(
Hope that doesn't happen to Art.

Congrats Art. Sounds like you have laid some good ground rules. I said kinda the same thing to my wife, not as harsh as you, but that if she got "heavy", I'd still love her, but as far as I was concerned she would have the sex life of a "nun".
Proud to say that after 24 years of marriage, she's a size smaller than she was in High School, and she's had a kid and several boxes of little Debbies during that time.

Yes I did. That gal just has the build to play out exactly that way. No more than I catch her on TV, I have seen that her weight seems to fluctuate wildly. She knows where her bread is buttered though so you never know. She may have the $ to pay for a personal trainer to keep it off for a while.
That nun threat worked on your wife? Most women would eat a few extra snack cakes after marriage just to make sure that was put into action. :D

It worked, but I never thought of that, I guess I'm lucky that didn't backfire on me.
If she starts packing it on I'll know why now.
I might need to write a big check for something small for our 25th!!
