Drop-away rest

I'm thinking seriously about purchasing a drop-away rest. I would like to hear some personal opinions, pros & cons. I am not intrested in the muzzy - no offense.

My brother had a trap door drop away rest on his mathews,but the new bow he has a bowtech-tech29.The rest will not work on this bow.I've read somewhere that because of different nock travel on some bows,these rest will not work.The one he had on the matthews worked like a charm,never failed.
