Grouse hunters

Anyone grouse hunting? I plan to take off tomorrow and go. I've heard of some great numbers of birds being flushed by others.

Archer, I have hunted several times this month. I am finding greater number of birds compared to last two years. I believe we are heading up in the dreaded cycle.

I hunted 3 hours today, flushed 5 birds over 4 points and only had one shot. It was a miracle, that bird had to be dead in the air!

Strange, I found more grouse and quail last yeart than this year. Can't figure out the problem but I heard too many quail whistling this summer not to find anymore than I have.
