About Rudy Giuliani being a candidate for the Presidency? I haven't been following his career much so I don't know a lot about him.

I think he's kinda sneaky. If I were a Democrat looking at who I would be able to live with if we have another Republican President, then I think Rudy is your man..

Not my first choice or second for that matter, but I think he has the best chance of winning for the republicans because he tends to be more moderate than most other republicans. His gun stance and pro-choice stance have been in question several times and he tends to dance around the issue. I still think he is the best choice of Hillary and Obama.

He's pro choice (at best) and anti gun, 'nuff said.....IMO

Fred Thomson or Ron Paul would be MUCH better choices IMHO both seem to be Pro Constitution and pro life and also seem to mean what they say, and say what they mean, Paul's voting record is hard to fight for a conservative ...

He is another Arnold in Republican clothing. He call's himself a republican, but tends to lean towards the left on some issues i.e. abortion. I admire his leadership after 911, but he would still not be my first choice. I'm waiting for Fred Thompson to throw his hat into the ring.

Rudy is a liberal, regardless of what letter is in front of his name. I think he is a good man, and a good leader, but he is still far too liberal for me.

I give Dems politicians grief for being anti-gun, and though they are far and few betwen, I give the few Repub politicians grief who are anti-gun also. Anti-gun is anti-gun regardless of your affiliation.

He is too liberal to get the nomination, and it looks like Fred Thompson is definitely running now. Fred is a true conservative, and a good leader. He will get the Republican nomination.

My apology, I don't know how you got what you did from that but what I meant was this.... I think he's more of a Democrat than a Republican. I think he wants people to believe he's conservative, but he's really pretty liberal on many issues at his core. He's trying to balance on the fence and please everyone while people are still learning about him. He's wishy washy on several issues. You, or anyone else being a Democrat would probably find Rudy the most appealing guy from the republican side for the simple fact that he's not too far from the left, if any.. I'm just saying that if the next president we elect happens to be a republican, I think most democrats will be more accepting of Rudy then any other guy from the right.

Personally, I really like the down to earth, realistic approach of Fred Thompson. The only thing that worries me with him is his age and his on again off again battle with cancer.

he has a snowballs chance in h#$L to win in any southern or midwest primary.the only thing he did right in newyork was crack down on the winos and panhandlers.if he was to get nominated by the republicans you would see a 25 or 30 % of the republican party leave.

I think that Rudy could believe in everything I believe in except abortion and I still would not vote for him. I just could never vote for a person that agrees with abortion. Not even for a local office that has nothing to do with abortion. If it comes down to it and I hope it doesn't, I will not vote for Rudy if he gets the nomination. Even if one vote in KY makes the difference between having Rudy or Ms Bill Clinton. HEATH

I think he's a hybrid....a cross between both sides. Not a guy I would vote for.

Slick has pretty well summed up my opinion. I liked Rudy's handling of 911, (remember how New Orlean's Mayor and Louisiana's Governor handled Katrina?) Rudy stepped up and took control. He is too liberal for me but I wish he would take on Hillary again.

Fred is the man.

I agree that Rudy will be hard pressed to win the Republican primary. If he happened to win the primary, I wouldn't be too happy, but he'd damn sure get my vote before Hillary, Obama, Kerry, Edwards or virtually any other democrat in the general election.

Although we don't know how he'd handle abortion and/or gun control once elected, we all know how all of these other candidates would handle them. For my money, I'd rather have a guy in there that might be on the fence than somebody who has already told me he/she wants to take my guns.

Any guy that Paul Harvey likes, I like. :D
