coyote howler calls

intrested in info on effectivness of coyote howlers compared to owl calls.Curious if anyone has more success with one or the other,or at fly up or fly down time,public land -vs- private and if coyote calling spooks birds.Any feed back would be appreciated.Thank you

Most use coyote locators when the owl locator ain't workin. I never have used one & have done Ok.

I have used a howler a few times but didn't get much positive results but I wasn't getting any results with anything else either. The bad thing about a coyote howler is if a gobbler does answer, you may not hear him because of the volume and length of the howl. I am sure they will work sometimes but so will almost any shock call. Try it, you might get some good results.
