Heard 3 birds this morning at Higginson-Henry. I am pretty sure 2 were jakes. Stepped out into a field recently planted & run 7 jakes out.

Your probably right....I'm still living in the traditional 15th opener....I miss those days.

The farm that I hunted on this spring still has toms gobbling and hens yelping in the mornings according to the land owner. Also,my brother in law stopped by friday and said on his way to work that morning in a field that we always see deer or turkey in had a tom strutting for a couple of hens.
