Any centerfire rifle is legal and anything other than a .410.

I just bought my daughter a 7mm-08. A whole lot of gun with little recoil. Good luck and get them in the woods.

I believe the .410 shotgun is legal now, but I wouldn't want a kid to
use one. Get her something small enough she can handle, but big enough to do the job. Maybe you can borrow or try out a few guns until she gets serious.

Maybe a T/C Encore will do the trick. Then you can change barells as you want. Maybe even get a barell for yourself without letting anyone know it's for you.

The single shot .243 would be great for small sized person. I have a friend whose 9 y/o step-son can shoot the lights out of target with one. I also use a .243 and find it more than adequate to kill anything here in Kentucky.

Good hunting,
Glenn
