View Full Version : Remington 700 CDL/SF
Remington has produced the best looking 700 yet (in my opinion) with the 700 CDL SF (Classic Deluxe Stainless Futed). Has anyone bought one?....like it?....results?.....opinions?
$850 and tax +/- at our new Sportsman's Warehouse in Lexington. Anyone know of a better price?

Bud's Guns in Paris has it listed for $770, but that's the on-line price. I'm not sure what it would cost to have it shipped to a FFL dealer. They also have the Rem 700 LSS in 300 Win mag for $565. I have this gun in the 7mm mag and I love it. It's not fluted but I love the laminated stock, and it shoots great. Remington has a 50th anniversary LSS in 280 that looks good.

I think the .280 is 7 1/2 lbs. My 7mm mag is about 7 3/4 lbs but is 26 in instead of 24 like the 280. I do like the looks of the new CDL, would like to have a 308 or 7mm-08. Remington made the LSS with a brown laminate stock last year. Mine is the gray laminate. They don't list the 700 LSS this year except the 280 anniversary gun. They do have the Mountain LSS but I don't like the lighter barrel. Looks like they are putting their eggs into the CDL. It should be a winner for them.

Thanks for the info.
C.L., the .30-06 is listed at 7-1/2 lbs. Since my posting I've found it for $760 and tax. Allegedly it has a different adjustable trigger from that of the standard 700's. I enquired and I'm told it is not produced in a .308 unfortunately.
I don't think they've (Remington) ever produced a more attractive rifle than this one.
