I camp about 20 minutes from LBL nightly.

Running water, flushing toilets, 120v on tap. It's great. :D

I may have to run over just to photograph some of the "what the heck were they thinking" opportunities that are so prevalent on holiday weekends.

Some folks are downright scary in their stupidity.

I'm sure you will have plenty of photographic opportunities this weekend on or around the big lakes. A lot of people throw common sense out the window on these type of weekends and substitute it with booze. It makes for a bad combination. I just hope everyone is safe and no one gets hurt.

Oh believe me.... there doesn't have to be any booze involved for the brain surgeons that vacation here. They're just naturally low on brain cells.

I know I have seen my share of nimrods just visiting the lakes 5-10 times a year, you on the other hand get a front-row seat living so close to the place. As much as you visit the lakes I'm sure you have some dandy stories of mishaps you've seen at the lakes.

I could write a pretty good sized book about it.

All the way from sunken minivans trying to launch boats bigger than the tow vehicle to 300 lb vixens smack in the middle of KY lake on waverunners with infants that looked to be 6 months old or less. :(

I even saw some folks run over (killing) their own dog and sink their truck in the process launching their boat once.

LBL was a pretty busy place last weekend when we camped. I'm sure it'll be a sight to behold this weekend.
