Wheel Horse

I've just come across a little Wheel Horse tractor with an 8 horse Kohler. Anybody have any idea the years that offered that engine or know of a site I could find out some more info?

I used to have one many moons ago. Great little tractor. Has a real cast iron tranny. Mine was a 72 model with a rear discharge mower and a snow blade. That tractor also had a real frame under it. I would say try to find an old dealer or do a Google search ? Good Luck

Try this website. If you can find the model/ serial # on either the tractor or engine you can find the exact yr.

you wouldn't be interested in selling it would ya. i kind of tinker with old wheel horses and cubs. as far as the kohler goes i'll tell ya man those things were on wheel horses for years. great little engines. i'm working on a 10 horse side shaft now to go on a ol wheel horse i just got.

I use to have a 72 model that had the rear discharge on it. I still kick myself for letting it go. That was the best little tractor I ever had. The tranny was the best and would cut the hillside behind the house like nobodies business. If you ever would like to get rid of yours let me know, heck you may even have the one I had. I use to live in Ashland.
