Another season over

After 5 straight mornings of hard hunting, I TO'ed this morning.
21 lbs. 11" beard 1.25" spurs.

It has been another great season, but one of the toughest I have seen in 20 years. I will finish 1 bird short of the Ken-Tenn slam. I think I'll end the season on a good note. It's been along time since the March 24th youth season in Tennessee.

Another great spring of sunrises, hunting with friends old and new, and several trips with my son. I can't wait for 2008, with the # of jakes out there it should be a great one.

Congrats on a great season!!! You are right it's been a long time since the TN youth hunt. My season hasn't gone as well as yours, but is still been great!!! Especially my daughters first turkey that came from LBL.

Congrats on taggin out! Where does the time go? Seems 4ever ago standing in the dim light of a downpour on April 14th. Still tryin to get my body clock straightened out. Eyes still popin open at 2:30am! Only 346 days to go, give or take a day. Next year is not leap year is it:eek:

Indiana seems to have bigger birds (at least to me it does), but boy does it cost a bunch to hunt there --- $206.75 for one bird. And wouldn't you know it, it only took me 20 minutes --- the only bird that worked perfectly all year; he came in gobblin' and struttin' just like they should. That's a little over $10 per minute. But it was worth it!

Tough one for me too,...... Called 5 to the gun total, Only one for myself.. Got two people their 1st Birds and one outsmart me for the last 5 full days I hunted. Had him close each day..... Just couldn't close the deal.
