Zero, haven't been able to get out as much as years but it ain't over til the fat lady sings. Current telecheck results: 20807 so far this year, 28797 total for 2006. I realize a lot of people will be out this last weekend but imagine numbers will be far short of last year.

Ended up with two but did call any of them in, just would not come to the calls much this year, so i resorted to ambushing them.

I'm with Big300. Tagged out but had to put plenty of hours and miles in the woods.

I didn't do any good this year. Well that actually isn't true I didn't kill a bird but I did have a great season. I got to see birds on almost every trip and I could have bushwacked a few birds but I couldn't bring myself to do it. If I couldn't call them in then I didn't want any part of it. I might change my tune next year but right now I am happy just listening to them gobble and watching them strut. I hope everyone had a good season and a safe one. I just wish i could have helped my team out some. Sorry guys!!!

This season was the easiest i've had in years. I only had a total of around 4 hrs to hunt . The first morning i got in the woods at 10 min till 8 and was walking back out of the woods at 0820 with a bird had 3 two year olds come in gobblin their heads off shot him a 10 yds. The second one i got 6 days later. i bet if this bird gobbled once he gobbled a 100 times I only called to him 3 times he came in like i had him on a string. I wish now i hadn't dropped out of the contest.:(

I'm on the other end of the scale. This was one of my toughest years. I ended up killing a fairly good three year old bird. With as tough as this season was I'll gladly eat my second tag.

Congrats to everyone that killed.

This season was pretty frustrating for me because it seemed like every day I got an opportunity to hunt it was raining or extremely windy. I did manage to get 1 nice tom though so i can't complain too much.

First day out I shot a fat 24lb 10"beard 1"spurs, 3year old. I was hunting at my honey hole for that one. For my second I decided to challenge my self and go to Casey Co for an old ridge runner. I chased one from Sunup until 11:30 when he went up over the ridge and I gave up. At 12 I set up in a meadow and made some calls. I promptly fell asleep, and when I woke up the first thing I see is another big Tom walking around with a jake in my spread. I did not have a chance to get excited as I would have liked. I raised my gun and down he went. 4year old bird, 23 lbs, 11"beard, 1 1/4 spurs. My first Casey Co bird.:D

I'm looking for tag soup recipes. Know any good ones?

I had a jake fly down right at me and he's lucky I got a good look at his beard. Saw a number of other jakes, but only a couple of toms, all of which were very henned up.
