Hevi shot and tube

This year I am using a Remington Hevi shot tube and shooting #6 Hevi shot, 12 gauge. It Seems to shoot pretty darn good. Anybody else using this combo and if so, how far can you shoot?

same and Iam good to 40-45 yards with 3" #6's

I use the same choke but I SHOOT #5'S.

I use the same, but with #5 shot (3 inch).

I wouldn't think twice about a 50 yard shot

I used to use the same but with #5 's. I shot one 2 years ago that I thought was 45 yards but walked it off to be #57.:eek: Dropped him there, I also have a range finder now since I messed the yardage up so bad.
The problem with 6's are the retained energy, shoot it at 45 to see how many pellets are in the head and neck, I use 10 pellets as max range. Good Luck!
I'm using Federal Hevi-shot flit control #6's now and took a youth this Saturday and he shot a long beard at 52 yards, I couldn't turn my head to see how far and him and his brother both said it was 35 so I said to shoot, dropped it there. 20 pounds 10 3/4 beard and 1 3/16 spurs.
