dang coyotes

i had a really nice tom in a field across the hollar with some hens and jakes coming towards me one hen was already in front of my blind and they all sterted running and i thought he was coming to my decoys or chaseing the jakes around again and acoyote pop out of the woods and chase them a while the coyote was too far for a shot so i statred yelpin on my diapram hopein he wood come but he cirle and come on the other side and scared the other turkey off.:mad:

I had a yote attack my decoy yesterday afternoon. He didn't see it until he was within about 20 yards. Once he saw it, he didn't hesitate and was on it in a blink of an eye. He was a little puzzled when he got a mouth full of foam instead of feathers.

That happens from time to time. I have shot several yotes while turkey hunting. Had a yote at LBL belly crawl while sneaking up on my decoys. He stood up to a load of #5's in his face!

I had two gobblers gobblin down a ridge from me this morning. A coyote came running in to my calls. I gave him a load on #5 Hevi-shot.:D

there is a coyote at Taylorsville that owes me a decoy. Wish I had a shotgun instead of a bow that morning.

Thinned them out a little this morning on our place. 2 females came in on me and I greated them with some #5's.
