Hunted most of the day and never heard a gobble. From reading the other posts from today it sounds like nobody was hearing much. So if an all night rain shuts down the gobbling the next day, how long does it take them to return to normal?

I'm hoping they are stretching the vocal chords out by tomorrow morning, but I'm betting after the warmer temps monday will bring, Tuesday they will be back to their normal, loudmouth selves.

Day two and still haven't heard that first gobble. Of course with all the wind this morning, I couldn't hear much of anything.

We did not hear 1 gobble today, but saw gobblers. my friend, on the other hand, said his birds gobbled more than 100 times this morning.

Normally, I've found that when there is a drastic weather change, it takes them a couple of days to adjust and get back on track. Tuesday looks OK but Wednesday we are supposed to get some rain. So I'm looking for this coming weekend to be the time when the birds get fired back up.

Day three. At least I know now there are some toms in the area. Two, maybe three gobbled good on the roost, but wouldn't answer my calls after fly down. A few more gobbles in the distance until 7:15 then quite as a mouse.

well I guess this is good news. I thought they all just up and left the area. I walked up on some in a field on Saturday and only heard one gobble 3 times on Sunday on the farm I was hunting. Though on the way home, I saw a flock and 3 toms strutting their stuff in someone else's field.
