I just got a travel camper and I'm really looking forward to using is this year. I live in Pulaski county and was wondering if any of you could tell where the good camping spots are located without driving to far.

Go to Reserveusa.com and look up the Corp of Engineers campgrounds in Kentucky, there are several on Lake Cumberland in Pulaski Co.
You might also check out Ky State Parks General Burnside and Lake Cumberland State Park are both close to you.

I can recommend the Corp of Engineers Fishing Creek campground except right now there's probably little water there now.

lots of nice campgrounds around cumberland, but with the lake level like it is the aesthetics aren't what they used to be. i'm headed to pulaski park next weekend, but only because of the Kentucky Klassic bow shoot that is being held there this time of year.

I was down there looking around a few weeks ago there is NO water you can walk in the lakebed from the campground all the way to back in the creek:eek:

Check the grove down at Laurel lake, there are two campgrounds on Laurel lake and I believe the Grove is the farthest south...
