Just interested if anyone knew how many bb's would be in a 3 1/2 inch winchester supreme 12 ga with 2oz and #5 shot? Was fooling around today doing some target practice, I managed to get on average 91 in an 8in round target. Is this a pretty good average, or should I be shooting better. I have a Remington 870 Super Mag, with TRUGLO strut stopper choke. Any advice or opinion is greatly appreciated. Thank you

That's good enough....90 more than you really need. Good luck.

#5 shot counts about 175 per ounce, so a 2 oz. load would carry roughly 350 pellets. 8" circle is roughly 25 square inches, so 91 pellets would be almost 4 hits per square inch. Wow. What was your test yardage?

From memory:
#7.5 shot = 350 per oz.
#6 shot = 225 per oz.
#5 shot = 175 per oz.

Well I think I need to change my setup! Not for sure how many I get in a 8 inch circle, but I bet it is not 90+. I would say more like 40-50. I would not be worried at all.
