I did a quick Google and couldn't find any hybrid chestnut seedlings but they should be available soon, if not now. Contact your local extension office.

I did find some pure American Chestnut seedlings, but since they are not blight resistant, I don't know what would be gained by buying them.

This is one hybrid that will be available in the fall.

Here is the best source of info on the American Chestnut. There are several schools of thought on this. Some think it is fine to plant the Chinese varieties while some consider them to be a potential invasive threat to the recovery of the tree. Some argue that the tree is coming back but may take 100's of years to do so. The tree does still survive places but usuall does not grow big or produce. The two trees cross pollinate and the real American Chestnut could be lost forever.

Thanks guys for the info. Looks like the blight resistant chestnut will not be available for another 7 to 15 years to the general public.
