CSS, do you think this late "semi" frost was bad enough to hurt the oak mast?
I saw a frost on my yard on May 22--never seen it that late.

I don't think so. It could affect a lot of soft mast though. A few months will tell the tale.
frost was not hard enough to kill garden.......greenbeans, tomatoes and other supposedly later planted crops...cabbage, broccolie, radish, califlower, peas, collards all look gooood!....ez

Thanks--I felt as such, just wanted to hear someone else say the same.
I got out in the woods today in Morgan county. Walnuts dropped their bloom after the frost (it hit 28 degrees there). I looked at oaks and hickory trees, I really didn't know what to look for at this time of the year. On the white oaks that I looked at, I couldn't find any buds (don't know if there should be any yet). What should I be seeing?

All of the walnut trees on my place look like the leaves are burnt. They look dead as can be. Guess time will tell.
