Has anyone tried the sling stix products shown on the outdoor channel. I'm talking about the sling with the built in shooting sticks that fly out when you pull on the tab on the sling. I would like to see a pair or hear opinions about them before buying a set.
Thanks,
Jesse

i can imagine the noise those things would make when you deploy them...in a situation where you could already have them in place i think they would be fine, but attempting to "pop" them out when Ole mossy horns shows himself would probably equate to a deer's interpretation of a brass band playing in the trees.

I was thinking the same thing. Just wanted to see if anyone else had seen these in person. They look nice but until I wanted to know everyones opinion.

bass pro has these at their stores. they are sturdier than i thought they would be, but they would be noisy in the deer woods. in my opinion, they would work fine, just don't jerk em out like the guy in the commercial!

Gave some to my son for Christmas, do not know yet how good they work, but look like a neat idea.

I wonder how they would be for turkey hunting to keep the front part of the gun up and ready?

I looked at them at Bass Pro. I won't get them, because they are noisy. If you want a bipod, get a fixed one.

Bass Pro in Clarksville quit stocking them.

I worry about noise all the time.
I got me a predator sniper styx a couple of years ago and i love it, very light easy to carry and not noisy.
For me it is the way to go.

just a thought,
the noise made should not be noticed on most shots that the slingstixs would be needed.as in 100 or more yards.i would think anything out too that should be able to offhand shoot.just my 2cents
