Only barely heard of it. What are the premiums? Coverage?

Yeah, I thought that was a little high too. I found some other places on the net that cost about $21 for dogs that basically covers everything that we would need...

My wife mentioned this a few years back and I gave her the "are you serious?" look. We didn't do it, but 55 vet visits later it looks like it may have been a good idea , though I will never tell her that. $21 dollars a month is not bad for a dog.

What all does that cover? Got a link?

I looked into it three years ago or so. I think a lot of it depends on the vet you use. I've noticed dramatic price differences among vets. If you live in a city like Lexington or Louisville your going to pay out the end for even just the basic shots and stuff. If you live in a rural community like I do you can get a lot done a lot cheaper. We have a "farm vet" that only sees pets one day a week or you can catch him first thing in the morning, who is very cheap. The other vet in town does very little farm work and only sees pets and he charges double even triple compared to the "farm" vet. For the rates that I pay at the vet the insurance was way to high. If I still lived in Lexington it may have made sense.

With 3 dogs, we thought about it. The problem is alot of vets don't (or didn't) take the insurance. You have to be in the right area, larger city, to find a vet that takes it. That's what we were told. I would start there first.

Now Thats funny! Our old vet wanted our cat to have heart surgery. My wife laughed at him!

I know a Dog groomer who worked in a Vet's Office and her cat got sick and needed surgery. The Vet being the nice guy (you know helping out an employee) done the surgery and 3 days later the cat died. The vet only charged her $ 945.00 for the Bill. Gee I wonder what comeone who didn't work for him would have paid.....?

Sorry but ole Floppsy or Molly or whatever the cats name was, well too bad...Cats come a dime a dozen around here.... 22 Bullet cost about 20 cents...... Sorry Kitty.......

I don't know where you shop for ammo, but somebody saw you comin'.

There are far worse fates for a loyal friend than a 22 behind the ear.

I have had insurance on a horse before but it was to protect me from a huge loss on investment in a young stallion. It wasn't cheap either.

haha....My g/fs dad just spent $2500 on one of his beagles to have back surgery for a ruptured disk!! I thought he was crazy for that, but his dogs are his kids...my g/f says he treats the dogs better than her and her brothers.
