What is the best combo for a special purpose with a 26" barrel??

Well can you shoot 31/2 if so it's like my friend's he is shooting winchester 4 shot at 40 yard he put 23 shot in the kill zone..hope this helps

3" # 6 shot is a death wish for any turkey
i suggest remington or winchester shells

Not sure if you can even find them anymore but I been useing Rem Duplex 4 X 6 three inch loads for years. Still have enough left for a few more years in a safe place.

my favorite for my 870 is 3" reminton premier #5 ,2 onces and they shoot GREAT:D

Remington hevi shot choke with remington hevi shot #5 is my combo. I would not have anything else.

Remington Extra-full turkey choke and #5 hevi-shot 3 1/2 inch. i have also used 3 1/2 inch Federal #5's with good results.

I use an 870 Supermag. 3 inch, #5 hevi shot with a Remington Hevi shot tube. I'll take a 50 yard shot with no problems.
