Okay experts....my son has a Stoeger 2000 and wanting to go with an aftermarket choke.

What is the best Choke for this gun?
Anyone use Jellyhead 0.655 constriction?

Would you suggest shooting #6 shot with that constriction?

If one was shooting a 0.665 choke would you shoot #5's?

Factory turkey choke is misbored. Shot 6"low and to the left.
Rotate choke 180 degrees and it shot 6" low but now to the right.

I would not recommend trying to sight in a shotgun by rotating the choke. they should be hand tightened snug, no less, no more. Try some aftermarket sights, TruGlo makes a good one.

With a .655 or a .665 I would start with a #6 shot, especially if you are using a 3.5" shell. If you are using a 3" shell you may get away with a #5 shot shell with a .665.

I am using a Stoeger 2000 this year and have tried the factory extra full choke, jellyhead, supermax, and Indian Creek. The Indian Creek choke worked best with the Remington Nitro #5s and the Remington 4x6s.
