By "any other" I assume you are. I've been to a few "matches" when I was a wee little boy. Kinda freaked me out back then. I might enjoy it a little more now that I'm old enough to gamble and drink!

Most organized places have a no tolerance rule on drinking and drugs. If you are caught with either you will be ejected.

Competition + gambling + drugs/alcohol=bad combination.

You going to a cock fight that does not allow fighting, drinking or gambling?

No, they don't allow drinking or drugs.

I was saying those other things, the competition and gambling are a bad combination when alcohol or drugs come in to the picture.

Oh yeah.. let's not throw any drinking or drugs into the mix with other illegal activities... LOL.. :D

Never been to one but there used to be a lot of folks around that raised the things as "pets". ;) You don't see them much around here anymore.

I guess people much prefer Gamedogs now. :D

Well the legality isn't the issue. Its more of drunk guy makes a bet and then refuses to pay, fights ensue. Fights lead to publicity. Publicity is bad news.:)

The fights are what people go to see.

You talking about Fighting Roosters?

Yep that what he's talking about. Never been to a fight and never will I would say.

We have a guy nearby that has a lot and I mean a lot of them fighting chickens. You can hear them each morning from the house. They make a lot of noise when you have that many. We drive past his place on one of our lake property projects and I have darn near ran over more than one that got loose from thier cages.

Heck, when I had more than one rooster, I could just sit on my back deck and watch them fight. I didn't have a "no alcohol" rule, either. Had to get rid of the extra roosters when they "attacked" my wife one day. Of course, only after I stood up from falling over laughing.

I let my chickens free range during the day and lock them up at night. They seem to divide into a couple of more flocks depending on how many we have and how many roosters we have at any given time. I love to sit on the deck and watch those groups "converge", one rooster trying to steal anothers hen's fight breaks out.

One day my wife was walking to her car carrying a bag with mickey mouse on it. Rooster saw it and took off for it. Spurs flying, feathers everywhere and bbq chicken the next evening.

Some people think watching stuff like that is sick, we call it fun:D .

I don't see anything wrong with having them roam around the yard in the country. Lock them up at night, because they are really unsafe at night. Unless of course they roost in a tree or up high somewhere.
