I just wanted to send out a big thanks to everyone that took a kid on the youth hunt this weekend. With the weather and it falling on easter weekend I just didn't know how the weekend would turn out for the young folks. By the looks of all the pics here, I'd say it was a roaring success. I wasn't able to take anyone this year, made family vacation plans without realizing the dates. I'm already looking foward to next youth season!

Hey Dave,

You should have seen me. We had birds gobble all over opening morning and I did my best call. I was facing one direction anticipating the birds would come from and low and behold, two toms come in directly behind us. I told David (our family friend I took) get your gun up. He lifted that gun so fast all you could hear were turkey feet hitting the ground and a couple of puts. I am such an amateur, but we had a great time. Didn't have any other birds come in.

Thats turkey hunting! I'm glad to hear you found a place and got into some birds. Usually all it takes to get someone hooked is some up close gobbling and a little strutting. It's about as addictive as crack!

Your welcome Dave. Took my daughter both days as long as she wanted to deal with it. Saturday was tuffer on her, but Sunday she should have had a shot except her non turkey dad greatly bothched a golden opportunity when a gobbler(?,coulda been a hen or jake) decided to stomp on in instead of drawing it out that they are adept at. Caught us puttin out a deke! I sux!
