Ok guys who has replaced the canvas on a pop-up camper or knows anything about it? I recently acquired a pop-up camper from my dad. The camper is in great shape. (I mean I could go out camping as soon as it warms up). But the canvas has a couple small tears in it that I am working on sewing back together. I am in the process of calling around and getting quotes and they all ask me if I want an install quote. How hard is this going to be if I decide to do it myself. And is the replacement canvas as good as the original. It's a Jayco and I called a Jayco dealer..........but I have also found after market canvas on the web. Any advice or help would be great.

The canvas is easy to change.
The new canvas will come with instructions.
RV dealer can do it in about 2hrs at about $90.00 an hour.
Or you can have it repaired but, you still have to remove the canvas for the repair.
You can remove only the section that needs repaired.
Or you can use duct tape.
Any more questions just ask
I have been an RVtech for 15 years.
If any one needs help with their RV just ask.:)

There's a canvas replacement place on the internet I found and ordered parts from before. Looking around their sight, I noticed they gave instructions on removing your canvas. I don't remember what the sight is right now, but have it written down at work. I'll try to get it on here tomorrow.
You might also want to look at popuptimes.com and go to the forum and see what info they have.
OK, here's the website: www.canvasreplacements.com The company is called Camper and Recreation, Inc. They were really good at having parts for our 20 year old pop up.

Thanks for all your help guys. I am going to call the folks from the site that PT provided and see what they can do for me. And I am going to replace it myself. Probably won't be until later this summer but I'll post up some pix when I'm done.
