After keeping tabs on a group of 7 long beards for nearly a month and one in particular that looked to have a 12-13" beard I caught up with him on Monday afternoon. I made a 30 yard shot after circling a big ridge to get ahead of him. It took him about 10 minutes to cover the 300 yards to my setup, where I had been simply scratching in the leaves to keep his attention.

He measured out at 12 1/4" beard, 22lbs, 11ozs., 1 1/16" spurs. The majority of his beard was 11 3/4-12", but 27 strands measured
12 1/4". I was pumped. My buddy also took a 18lb, 8 1/2", 1" spurred bird out of the same group on opening morning.
