I love bluegill fishing. If you want to just catch a bunch of fish and not worry about their size and just have fun they're the way to go. Awesome catch man.

My sons and I fished at Barren River lake today. We didn't do too well, but I don't think anyone was catching much. We caught a couple of crappie and had a few more bites...that was about it. No keepers.

how is the crappie this year? Haven't been crappie fishing in a while. Remember it used to be great out there on Barkley when it was crappie season. Seemed like every spot held a school of them and every cast brought in one.

lets see about a million lol. But seriously probably about 20

Remember that the lake is mostly holding black crappie now,about 70%. Have to fish shallow. I heard most of the white crappie are holding about 7ft. Went to Rough River Sun. Caught 27 keepers. Eggs was falling out of some the fish.
