Trapping license required to trap turtles??

Are trapping license required to use a trap to catch turtles??
Better check with Ky law enforcement first.
Don't laugh , more ridiculous regulations/laws than that are in the books!

The fishing & boating guide mentions the use of wire mesh and tilting platform traps with only a fishing license required. I need to look it up again, because it has been a while since I read it, but I doubt it has changed.
