Barren lake

Went back to Skaggs creek this morning with my step father to our hot spot only problem it's not so hot now. Only 11 keeper crappie today with small yellow belly stripe. Lake level is now 532 which has water over my tree now but for the last couple of weeks the creek crappie have played out. I have been getting reports the lake fish by boat have been hitting good shallow and are full of eggs. We need a good rain to just start things I think at least the white bass will start up then. Will report back when the stripe run.

What are the current lake conditions? Got a bass tournament coming up in a couple weeks and trying to get a handle on what the bass are doing. Thanks.

The corp started holding the water a couple of weeks ago so the water level is rising slowly but surely. Need some rain. Bass hitting on crankbaits and top water baits. Thats all I know for sure. I've been crappie fishing more than anything. Good Luck in your tourney.:)

Fished Renegade last Sunday.Took 22Lbs to win the tournament. Bass was hitting on the flats with SR5 shad Rap or Black Chrome Rat L Trap. Better bite came late in the day. With the weather like it is, I would pull off to the drop of the flats if I was fishing this weekend!
