Me and the wife went this morning and caught about 20 total, but only 9 were keepers all females full of eggs. This was the wifes first time after crappie so she missed several because she would'nt let them take it down far enough. They seemed to be mostly in about 15 to 20 foot of water and we were catching them about 4 to 5 foot deep. Going to fry em up tommorow, can't wait.

Any Tayorsville tips on what to look for or what you were doing to catch a few? Jigs, minners, etc. My son is on spring break this week and looking to get him in on a little action regardless of size. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We were using minnows catching the about 4 to 5 foot deep in about 15 to 20 foot of water. We were fishing near Ashes creek. We started at the mouth of the creek and worked our way back and started catching them about half way back. Be prepared to do alot of retying because they were right up in those cedar trees. Never caught any in the back of the creek, good luck, I plan on going back this Friday the fishing will propably be alot tougher with the cool weather coming in.

A friend and I went to Taylorsville Lake this morning (the first time I've ever been fishing there for Crappie.) We only used jigs and didn't take any minnows. We used black and chartruse and Black and Blue jigs. We kept 17 over 10 inches with 5 or 6 over 12 inches. We caught about 10 more that were below 10 inches which we didn't keep. They were on the outer edgs of the trees in about 6 to 8 feet deep.
