UK Basketball- Have you noticed

that whenever UK plays on national TV, and especially in the NCAA tournament that there seems to be an abnormally high number of Duke "greatness" related commercials and comments during the broadcast? It's like it's illegal to do a UK game without mentioning Duke 15 times.

Of course the broadcasters bring it up about 10 times during the game, but the commercials.:mad: I just loved how that cingular commercial came on during the Nova game as "one of the great moments in NCAA history". I don't think I need to tell you what it was.:rolleyes: Someone, somewhere that thinks they are funny set that up.

I really don't have anything against Duke per sey, but that was 15 years ago and it still seems to be brought up over and over during most UK games. Why wasn't one of the great moments in NCAA history when we came back to beat Duke's @%? on our way to the national championship?

At least this year we don't have to watch 45 Chevy/ Coach K commercials during every game. Thank God.

I forget which Insurance commercial it was that Coach K was in at least 3 times during our Game. WOULD YOU RATHER GO TO A BASKETBALL CAMP WITH COACH K OR J? That one. Might as well be an advertisment for Duke.

Yes I have noticed this too. I think there are some evil leprachans :D in charge of some of the programing and scheduling. Did you notice that Digger Phelps hollered about Winthrop and low and behold they got in and who did they play Notre Dame. Accident??? I doubt it. He even commented on it. How about when we played Eastern in the tournament. Couldn't even root for them.

So yes I think the Duke stuff is no accident.

Good thing you all weren't playing that UK beer drinkin game last night and included all the Duke comments in the game....I tell ya....everyone who would have played the Beer drinking game would still be passed out for sure.......:D:D:D
