My favorite part was that your article mentioned Sen Clinton saying that we must do something to inform people of subprime loans. They aren't new, we had them during her husbands term as well. Your second link was about the market going down in the last week. So what, big deal, it goes up and down all the time. In the long run it has ALWAYS gone up. It hit an ALLTIME high just a month ago, and it will get back there.

The economy is strong. If you look at actual economic indicators you will see that.

Since your taking exception to sub-prime loans Philpot, I will ask, what do you suggest doing with them?
They help, lower income people, people who have had some hardships, people with less than stellar credit, people who have had a spouse die, etc etc etc. Before sub-prime loans these people couldn't get a loan, and therefore couldn't own a home.
Sub-prime loans help these folks own a home and get back on their feet. Lots of hardworking Americans who came on some bad luck have used these to get back on their feet. And you and Hillary want to change that because a few idiots misused them. Sounds like the same reasoning they give for gun control.

By the way, just to be fair. Pres Clinton was a big proponent of sub-prime lending, and I agreed with him when he said it was a good thing.
I bet you a dollar that when Pres Clinton spoke of how it helped low income, struggling families you cheered for him like you couldn't cheer anymore.

I have decided in my infinite wisdom, to start using how I am doing as a large determining factor in how the economy is doing. And to be honest, I am doing very well for myself, so as far as I'm concerned, the economy is doing great. When I start having problems, I'll start complaining about it. Until then, I'm content to keep making and saving my money:D

World History - As it Really Happened

Humans originally existed as members of small bands of nomadic hunters/
gatherers. They lived on deer in the mountains during the summer and would go
to the coast and live on fish and lobster in the winter.

The two most important events in all of history were the invention of beer and
the invention of the wheel.

invention of group therapy, group hugs, and the concept of Democratic voting to
decide how to divide the meat and beer that conservatives provided.

Over the years conservatives came to be symbolized by the largest, most
powerful land animal on earth, the elephant. Liberals are symbolized by the
jackass.

Modern liberals like imported beer (with lime added), but most prefer white
wine or imported bottled water. They eat raw fish but like their beef well
done. Sushi, tofu, and French food are standard liberal fare.

Another interesting evolutionary side note: most of their (the Liberals) women
have higher testosterone levels than their men. Most social workers, personal
injury attorneys, journalists, dreamers in Hollywood and group therapists are
liberals.
Liberals invented the designated hitter rule because it wasn't fair to make the
pitcher also bat.

Conservatives drink domestic beer. They eat red meat and still provide for
their women. Conservatives are big-game hunters, rodeo cowboys, lumberjacks,
construction workers, firemen, medical doctors, police officers, corporate
executives, athletes, Marines, and generally anyone who works productively.
Conservatives who own companies hire other conservatives who want to work for a
living.

Liberals produce little or nothing. They like to govern the producers and
decide what to do with the production. Liberals believe Europeans are more
enlightened than Americans. That is why most of the liberals remained in Europe
when conservatives were coming to America. They crept in after the Wild West
was tamed and created a business of trying to get more for nothing.
