me and my group (4 of us) got drawn for peabody this year and would like some info as to where some good areas are. back in 2000 2 of us were drawn and we chose to hunt the homestead tract. wasnt exactly what we were looking for. is there any tracts that has some good hardwood ridges

About all the good hardwood ridges on Peabody got mined and no longer exist. You might find patches of hardwoods if you look hard enough. One of my favorite white oak groves on Peabody got logged a few years ago. Thats another thing you have to watch out for year to year. My favorite way to hunt Peabody is look for bottlenecks between patches of those hardwoods and thickets.
