I have received a significant amount of private email about a sensitive topic that is no longer going to be discussed here. I think that there are some very important things for everyone to remember:
1) Uncle Lee is a darn nice guy. He puts this up here for everyone to enjoy. While there are some topics of significant interests to some of us, if we fight a war here, we're essentially invading Uncle Lee's country for two people to fight. Uncle Lee doesn't have a dog in any of these fights. He just sells good stuff at good prices. Spend some money with him. It's the greatest way to say thanks.
2) There are two sites that are presently entertaining the discussions regarding the current events which are of such white-hot temperature....Kentuckysportsmen.com and Sportsmans homepage.com. If certain controversial subjects are the focus of your attention, you probably ought to take them to those sites.
3) I have no ill will towards the moderators who keep this ship on course. I also have no ill will towards the League in general. It has a 71 year history of being Kentucky's number one sportsmans organization. Right now, it's going through a tough time. It is my fervent hope that it gets through the bad times and is soon the shining star of sportsmanship that it once was and will be again. It is a much bigger thing than my tormentors and me. Please work to make it better in every way.
4) To those who have been kind to me throughout this ordeal, I give my thanks. It's kind of embarassing to be the first person kicked out in 71 years, but we'll see what happens. One thing for sure, it will go on with our withuot me and it will go on with or without its present leaders. NONE of us own it. We're just its stewards as we pass through. We have an obligation to pass it on in the best shape possible. There will always be disagreements on what the best path is. We've seen one path isn't that much fun.
That's all I'm going to say on the subject on this site. To summarize: Dance with them what brung you...Buy something from Uncle Lee. Let not your heart be troubled. We'll all get through this and move on to the truly important business. Don't take all of this so seriously. After all, none of us is getting out of here alive.
