I want to put in a food plot on my land in lewis county and I was wondering if its too early to spray round-up on the weeds. I'm in Michigan and the ground is still covered with snow here.
thanks

yes, it's too early, you want the plants ot be actively growing in order to get a good kill with glyphosphates. Mow the area off now and with a regrowth of 6-10 inches will give best results for spraying and killing.

That growth stage would likely be the third week of April...

Thanks for the info, I'll probably have to spray it several times before I disk it up.

Yep. It has to be actively growing.

If it has fescue, you'll probably have to hit some spots twice.
