Well remember my Buck I shot last Wed. and couldn't find?Sunday afternoon I found my arrow 20 yds down at the bottom of the hill.Remember the arrow was only down to the fletching's,The fletching's had blood and muscle tissue on it.So all you fellows thatsaid he would circleback he did ,he's alive , the lesson I learned is that I respect these tough critter's a whole lot more now so I guess I can try and sling some lead at him[^]

They are tough critters! In the last 20 years I've taken 3 deer that had broadheads in them and 6 years ago I took a buch the day before gun season that had a .50 Cal. muzzle loader hole in his neck that exited 3 inches below one ear. He was chasing a doe when I took him. This one and one other had such massive infection that the meat was spoiled or rancid. The smell of the meat was that of gaingreen. Nasty. Good Luck...

LoweBow my friend killed a buck about 4 weeks ago when he got to lookin at it he noticed it had a place on it's shoulder were it had been recently shot with an arrow. When he opened it up the infection was so bad he said he about gaged he said the meat on that side was literately green and the smell was something else.

Yeah it happens, but remember the antis love these kind of statements and do read our post. Just a word to the wise before our words come back to bite us in the butt.

I got my trail cam pictures back this week, only to see that one of my bucks has a bad case of road rash on his back half. He looks find other than that, takes a lickin and keeps on tickin..
