WBBP has continually stepped up for hosting youth events. I don't think it's fair to expect the same folks to provide this service year after year. Putting on these hunts requires ALOT of time and effort. Maybe you could try to call out some other members to step up and help out this year.
I'm sure you didn't mean anything by it, but asking a member provide a service of this size dosen't seem fair. It is also a member that has donated more hunts for forum members and youth than all other members combined.IMHO

yeah, u definately got me all wrong here. i've been to kalen's, and i definately appreciated the invite. haven't seen many posts from him lately (although i haven't been on here alot recently), and was honestly wonderin where he was. i think sometimes we are all too quick to judge on here - lord knows i've been guilty of it...:o
received a pm from feedman and he tells me wbbp will be busy with his family during youth weekend so i know he won't be involved this year. so, anybody else wanna step up?

I do not have a place, but I would be more than willing to call for any youth wanting to go. Calling and seeing someone else harvest a bird is just about more fun than taking one myself.
Hickey:
I decided to spend Spring Break at Barkley/Kentucky Lake with my family and some other friends, so I won't be around during youth turkey weekend.
I still plan on having a youth deer hunt this fall though. I even considered having a special opening weekend bow hunt in Septemebr for kids, but I will have to think that one through.
Thanks, K

Kalen.... we met over at LBL a couple of years ago turkey hunting.
Just wanted to say thanks for all you have done for the youth. I don't post much, but do read some on here.
I can remember numerous times I have seen where you have offered opportunities for young hunters as well as adults that they might not have had otherwise.
Hope you and yours have a great spring break here on the lakes.
And again ..... THANK YOU!!

I got my first gobbler at WBBPs place. He provided and awesome weekend of hunting for me and my buddy Kyhunting. Its was a weekend I know I'll never forget and WBBP made it all possible even though he had never met me or my buddy before the hunt.
Thanks again Kalen, I don't think I could ever thank you enough!
Enjoy your time at the lake!

I can't say enough for the memories that he has given to me and my kids at his farm. way more than I know I will ever be able to do for others like that. They both speak of it often. It will be something that we will all never forget. Thanks again K. You are a class act for sure.
Sincerely, Mike, Adam, Rebekah

I would like to take my step-son on a good turkey hunt around the BG area. We have several places to hunt, but I am not the turkey pro that would give him the best results. I usually spend my spring catching crappie, but would like to give him a good chance of killing a turkey. He will be 13 in a couple of weeks. Anyone have any suggestions?

Hey, I'm new to posting to the forum, but not new to reading it or to hunting. I'd love to take a deserving youngin. I live in Morehead and hunt around here mostly, but I have access to alot of private land near Maysville. I take a few youngsters with me when I am back home in VA, but dont know any to take along here. Anything I can do to get the next generation into the woods and I'm there. PM me if I can help anyone out.
