I have two guns that I am really happy with and was just wondering if anyone has been happy with the Winchester Xtended Range ammo.....
I have shoot kicks and winchester combo for years and am thinking about changing over the the xtended range 3" #6 shoot in my 870 set up from the 3" #6 shoot HV load.

My 935 I shoot #4 Winchester HV 3 1/2 and they do great...the #5 HV Winchester peroforms great also...but it is nice to have that pound of the 4 shoot....

I spent many days and dollars getting these guns set up and they shoot wonderful but was just wondering if I should spend the time and dollars on the xtended range...to be honest with you as long as we shoot at turkeys 40 yards and under I think we are all fine...but I am one of those pellet counters and shooters that is addicted to turkey gun set ups and turkey hunting...any advice or experience will be greatly appreciated!!!

I have used the Xtended Range 3" #5 in my Beretta for the last couple of years and could not be happier with them. I just picked up a couple more boxes a few weeks ago. I have no plans to change anytime soon.

I just patterned them yesterday in a 9200 mossberg with a 24 inch barrel and a hastings 665 choke. All I can say is awesome ! I was shooting 3 inch 6s in Winchester Extended. And for the first time in 8 years I think my 11 pound BPS 10 gauge will stay at home. My 3 inch 12 is throwing unreal patterns at 40 yards. Just remember if using a red dot loctite it down as I found out the hard way....

Xtended 3"- 1 3/4 oz. 5's are the best thing I have found as of yet. I fling them with an 870 and a Hastings .660. I have tried many shell / choke combos. The Xtended shells also did much better for me than Rem Hevi-shot.
Some people go with 6's but I like the punch of 5's and still get awesome patterns. I whacked a tom several years ago at a laser ranged 48 yards. It had a broken wing and also a leg broke just above the knee from the shot.
Also - maybe just coincidence but I have noticed the 5 or 6 I have taken with these don't flop all over the place after being hit. They may have flopped once or twice but have layed there and quivered for the most part. I heard this from others as well.........but that is another story.

Im partial to the number 4 shot,3 1/2 inchers myself and from the Benelli with 28" and a Kicks .665 choke Im able to put plenty of pellets in the kill zone at 55 yards........which I know is a little further than most like to think is a good idea to shoot but Ive been able to make it work from a pit blind in the open several times and as far as the flopping around some did some didnt but they still ended up on the wall.
