I haven't connected with a fox. Good luck, they are pretty smart.

Fellars,
What have you heard about the fur market for 2003-2004 season??
What will rats, coons, mink, red fox bring??[:)]

I've got a large lease near E-town and also one near Battletown, Ky. that someone can trap on if they want. The E=town deal would be mostly coons, fox, and coyotes. There's some bobcats but they might not be legal? The other has frontage on Wolf Creek a mile or so from the river, plus plenty of coons.

I have read in all my trapping magazines that the prices of everything will be about the same as last year. 8.00 to 12.00 for coon, 5.00 to 8.00 for mink, 2.50 to 3.00 for rats and 10.00 to 30.00 for fox.

Fur buyers are licensed by F&W. Frankfort should be able to provide you with a list of fur buyers.[:)]

Adam,
Not skinnin'?? Your missing half the fun.[8D]
Nothing like skinnin'out a big stinkin' dog coyote, thats been rollin' in carrion, in your moma's kitchen floor.[;)]
Or fleshin' an ol' greasy 60 lb. beaver till 3:00a.m. in the morning before school. Now thats trappin'.[:)]

Well, I'm ready. I was at the Kentucky Fur Takers fall meeting in E-Town. The thinking is that prices may increase this year.

Didn't know you could sell 'em not skint???? Used too, you had o sell them dried. Then seems they would rather have them green, because most had their own fleshing machine, and it caused less screw-ups. Never sold anything with the hair on, YET?

You might be surprised. In the late 70's I trapped, hunted and picked up any road kill that had fur![^]
I had a buyer that would take foxes still warm for the same price as skinned. He would rather do it him self.
