Watching the boys grow up

Well the latest on the flock out back. They seem to have broken into thier respective groups. This past couple days the young hen's and Jakes have gone seperate ways. The Jake group consist of 9 and the hen group is a bit larger. I notice the jakes showing signs of maturing day to day. Little beards are growing larger and some white and red is taking place of the blue on thier heads. Some are showing more color than others and the ones with the most color seem to be the larger ones and are for sure the bosses of the flock. Even thier beards are a tad longer than the others. Here is a morning shot I took today of a couple.

Nice pci. hopefully they will be ther next year and year after for some good hunting.

Those young birds will melt in your mouth after you put them in a skillet!!
