anyone hunted south dakota

We are planning on going to Rosebud Indian reservation turkey hunting. If anyone has been to SD,please let me know if hunting is better in april or may. We would greatly appriciate the input.

I have hunted the black hills of south dakata to. We hunted early april and did fine but everyone says to go late april or early may. and all I can say is to me you couldn't call enough to those birds you let up you seem to loose them of course every bird is differnt.Black hills tag is for only one bird lots of land to hunt and tag is cheep compared to everywhere else we cheacked. These is someone on here that had grate luck at rosebud maybe he can help you more.

I hunted Rosebud in 2004 with 4 others. We all limited out with two birds apiece. Hunted for about three days and had a guide named Wes put us on some beautiful areas. I sent you PM as well.
