I've seen those cool looking leather straps that people put around turkey feet to carry them out with on "Turkey Call". Does anyone have any instructions on how to make one or a link to a site that does?

The ones I make use a piece of deer antler about 5 inches long and have a hole drilled in the center of it. Take a sturdy piece of leather thong, double it and pass the ends through the hole. The hole should be just large enough to get the leather through. once the ends are through tie a knot in the end and pull it tight. I usually use a larger drill bit on the knot end so that the knot will fit inside the hole but not pull through. The leather thong needs to be about 24 inches long so when double you'll have enough to loop around the birds legs. I smooth out the antler and polish it up and give them as gifts.
